One thing that we have found in our Ecochurch journey is that talking about our faith really helps to inspire us in our actions. Our understanding of the nature and activity of God, our discipleship of our teacher Jesus and our response to the call of the Spirit is hugely personal, forged in our own unique lived experience, but as we chat we are inspired by this variance. We find ourselves moved by anothers poetic descriptions or fired up by someones enthusiasm for justice, we unravel mysteries together and are happy to accept the limitations of our understanding… together.
It is true that we raise many more questions than answers and we like to follow courses that do the same. This in no way dis-empowers but helps us to be unapologetic in our faith as we have no need to be the experts, just travelers on the way learning as we go.
So this is a plug for our theology evening on the 4th Monday of every Month at 7pm in the Undercroft in Seaview …. it is a drop in so you would be welcome any evening. Do contact me on 07500007437 or revamorley@gmail.com
