‘You can not Love that which you do not Know’
The Haven Churches, as part of Eco Church, are getting out and about on our beautiful Island and walking between churches with contemplation and fellowship. We have been inspired by this book and will be planning ‘Pastoral Pilgrimages’ for next year from the routes suggested.
The first walk is….
Thursday 14th November. Walk visiting two churches with coffee stop, picnic or pub lunch. Start Fort Victoria ,Yarmouth 10 am.
Walk into Yarmouth over the bridge (30mins). Coffee in Jireh House in the Square, or Gossips. Visit St. James’ Church, Yarmouth. Walk along the old railway track by the beautiful River Yar to Freshwater and visit All Saints Church (60 mins). Picnic or lunch at the Red Lion pub, next to the church. Open 12-2.30pm. (Will need to book well in advance. Telephone no. 754925). Retrace footsteps to Fort Victoria. If anyone does not want to do the first part of the walk they can park in the main car park in Yarmouth, and pay, and meet up for coffee.
