At this time of year it seems impossible to avoid plastic goods and packaging in the frenzy of Christmas shopping. In the Haven Benefice we have been cutting back on single-use plastic by refilling our plastic bottles of shampoo and detergent at the refill station, at the Saturday coffee mornings. You can bring your bottles along to St Helen’s Community Centre, at 10am tomorrow morning, for a refill.
We now invite you to rethink your Christmas list and consider making some environmentally friendly gifts to go under the tree this year. Tomorrow afternoon there is a chance to have a go at making a whole range of useful gifts for friends and family. Lunch is provided!
